Porridge A Billion Ways
All of us are the masters of something, whether it be lawn bowls, puppeteering or ebay bidding. We were simply born with a natural instinct to excel in that activity. The art in which I have mastered and take absolute pride in is… porridge making. In fact some call me The Queen of Porridge.
Because I've made porridge almost every morning for the past 4 years, I've had to create it in a way in which I don't get board of it (which never happens because I love it so much). What I have done is made the recipe which has interchangeable options at each stage, which are like opportunities to bring out your creativity!

1/3 cup rolled oats
1/2 banana, mashed*
1/2 cup milk of choice

1 handful of strawberries, quartered

1 tbsp. shredded/flaked coconut
1 tbsp. seeds (sunflower and pumpkin seeds are my favourite)
1 tbsp. nuts, roughly chopped

METHOD
Add the oats, mashed banana, milk, one of your chosen extras and 3/4 cup of water to a saucepan. Bring to the boil, then term down to a simmer and cook, stirring for 7 minutes or until a loose porridge consistency
Transfer to a bowl, top with 1-2 of your chosen fruits and 1-2 of your chosen bits and bobs and serve immediately
*Ripe bananas works best
**Blueberries are my favourite and produce a really beautiful colour
