Tahini and Vanilla Protein Shake
This is another recipe I adapted from the amazing nutritionist Jessica Sepel. Her version is called the 'Blood Sugar Balancing Smoothie'. The only things I change is, I use tahini instead of almond butter and vanilla paste instead of stevia. Every time I make one of her recipes it always ends up being a recipe I make ALL THE TIME!! I make this smoothie every day!
INGREDIENTS
Serves 2
2 cups unsweetened almond milk
2 heaped tbsp. Mayver's Hulled Tahini
1 frozen banana
1 tbsp. chia seeds
2 scoops vanilla protein powder
1 tbsp. maca powder
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla bean paste
1 tsp. cinnamon
2 handfuls ice cubes
Sprinkle of coconut flakes (optional)
METHOD
Blend all ingredients in a liquidizer besides the coconut flakes
Divide between two glasses and top each with a sprinkle of coconut flakes
Serve and enjoy!
